That's right - they are digital pack rats, some are even 'hoarders'. They takes hundreds, if not thousands, of photos with their cameras, their cell phones and their IPADS.
When we teach classes on organizing your images, we try to stress the use of the Trash Can or the Delete key, but the response is, "I might need that image someday."
When is someday anyway? Is it tomorrow? Is it this year? Is it even in a lifetime? Like all Pack Rats, or hoarders, you need to clean, organize and purge your digital library. But it is best to start at the beginning - when you first download that memory card. Delete all of the out of focus images. Delete the so-so images. If you have more than one of an image that is similar - keep the best one and delete the rest. Family photos are even harder to delete, but necessary.
If you don't learn to delete and use the trash can now, your digital world will get out of control in a real hurry, leaving you, or your family, with a digital nightmare later.
